Saydet Harissa Miracle - Lady of Lebanon Shrine

Saydet Harissa or Lady of Lebanon is a Shrine dedicated to the virgin Mary on a hill overlooking the Jounieh Bay. A new Miracle has been recently reported at the pilgrimage site.

Millions of pilgrims and tourists (Christians and Muslims alike) flock to the enchanting sanctuary of Harissa every year, where a large white painted bronze statue of the Virgin was erected in 1907. The statue weights 15 tons and is 8.50 meters in height. An imposing modern cathedral was also built right next to it.

Harissa was already famous, but has recently become even more popular when an alleged miracle occurred at the sanctuary. A reflection of Our Lady of Lebanon was seen in the sky on the night of 29th May 2011. Witnesses confirmed it was an authentic miracle and not a mere trick, but the Church is yet to give its verdict.

To note that in a previous similar incident dating back to the Lebanese civil war, the statue supposedly moved by itself, and rotated so as to change the direction of its field of view.

Surprisingly, many fortune tellers and self-proclaimed prophets had announced Harissa would become the next Medjugorje... see Mike Feghaly 2011 Predictions and Lebanon Predictions 2011.
