Badia Masabni

Badia is a famous classical Lebanese dancer, known in particular from the fact that in 1926 she opened the Casino Opera nightclub in Cairo.

Nightclub, customers were mainly upper class and Western visitors, whom Badia created an entirely new kind of elegant dance combining traditional oriental dance choreography and movements.

The same Casino Opera was behind the success of golden age Egyptian dancer such as Tahia Carioca, Samia Gamal and Nadia Jamal.
