Joseph Sarkis
Joseph Sarkis is a Lebanese politician and a former Minister of Tourism in Lebanon.
Joseph studied civil engineering at the Ecole Supérieure des Ingénieurs in Beirut.
Joseph Sarkis was born in 1949, On the 19th of July 2005, Joseph Sarkis became the Miniter of Tourism within the Government of Fouad Siniora. In the year 2009 Fadi Abboud became the Minister of Tourism in Lebanon in the Saad Hariri Government.
Joseph Sarkis is a leading member of the Lebanese Forces (LF).
Joseph Sarkis was a member of the Kataeb Political Bureau between the years 1988 and 1994.
He stayed away from the Kataeb party after it took a pro-Syrian stance and decided to join the Lebanese Forces.
In the year 1998, Joseph Sarkis was elected to the municipal council of Beirut, representing the LF.
In the year 2002, Sarkis became the Lebanese Forces official representative for the area of Beirut.
