Mahmoud Darwish also known as Mahmoud Darwich or Mahmood Darwish is a famous Palestinian and Arab Poet and Author.

Mahmoud Darwish was born on the 13th of March 1941, he died on the 9th of August 2008.

Mahmoud Darwish won many awards for his literary works, he was considered as the Palestinian national poet.

Many of Mahmoud Darwish poems were set to music songs, among the well known songs include Rita, Birds of Galily and I Yearn for my Moms Bread.

Mahmoud Darwish songs were sung by renouned singers from the arab world including, Majida El Roumi, Marcel Khalife and Ahmad Kaabour.
