Mahmoud Hammoud

Mahmoud Hammoud is a Lebanese politician and a former diplomat.

Mahmoud Hammoud was born in the year 1935 in Kafarkila, Marjayoun area, in south Lebanon, He was born to a Shiite Muslim Family.

Mahmoud Hammoud was the Lebanese ambassador in United Arab Emirates between the years 1978 and 1983.

Hammoud was the Lebanese ambassador in West Germany between 1983 and 1985.

Between the years 1986 and 1990 Mahmoud Hammoud was the Lebanese ambassador in the Soviet Union.

Mahmoud Hammoud was the Lebanese ambassador in United Kingdom between 1990 and 1999.

In the month of October 2000, Mahmoud Hammoud became foreign minister until April 2003.

In the mid year of 2003, Mahmoud Hammoud became the defense minister of Lebanon. In the month of October 2004, Mahmoud Hammoud became the foreign minister in the Omar Karami Government.
