Nancy Ajram beat Elissa during the World Music Awards 2008 that were held in Monaco, the second smallest country in Europe on the 9th of November 2008.

Nancy walked on the red-carpet and headed to the stage in a beautiful shimmering, knee-high silver dress. Nancy performed few of her famous songs, then she was given the award for best-selling artist in The Middle East.
