Omar Khairat

Omar Khairat also spelled as Omar Khayrat is an Egyptian musician. Omar was born in Cairo, Egypt in 1949. Omar came from an artistic family. Abu Bakr Khairat, was his uncle, a famous composer who founded the Egyptian Conservatory institution.

In the year 1959 Omar joined the Conservatory to study piano and music.

Khayrat also continued his higher studies at Trinity College of Music in London.

Omar was part of an international famous jazz group. Omar also played the drums in one of the top bands in Egypt, Les Petits Chats.

All these experiences and a unique talent gave him added dimensions to his musical style.
