Pierre Amine Gemayel also known as Pierre Gemayel Junior was born on September 24, 1972. Peirre was assassinated and died in November 21, 2006.

Pierre Amine El Gemayel was a Lebanese politician who belonged to the Kataeb Party, which is also known as the Phalange.

Pierre Gemayel was an active member of the anti-syrian parliamentary majority, which are known as the March 14 Forces. Pierre was a major critic of the Syria presence and political domination in Lebanon.

Pierre was the Minister of Industry in Lebanon when he was assassinated on the 21th of November 2006.


Pierre Al Gemayel was the 3rd Gemayel to be assassinated in the past quarter century. Pierre Amine Gemayel was also the sixth anti-Syrian figure killed in the past two years, and after the assassination of Prime Minister Rafik El Hariri.


Pierre Amine El Gemayel is a Maronite Christian and the son of former Lebanese President Amine Gemayel. Pierre was also the nephew of former president Bachir Gemayel who was assassinated in Beirut in 1982.

Education and Studies
Pierre Gemayel studied law in Beirut and Paris, and began his legal career at a firm in Beirut.

Political Figure
Pierre Gemayel was elected to as a member of the Lebanese Parliament in el-Metn. Pierre being an active member of the Kataeb movement joined his father in the famouse Qornet Shehwan Gathering.

Pierre Gemayel opposed the to Syrian influence in Lebanon. Pierre was also against the mandate ruling of President Emile Lahoud. He took part in the Cedar Revolution after the assassination of former Prime Minister Rafik El Hariri.

Pierre Gemayel was named as the Minister of Industry in Fouad Siniora's government of Lebanon in July 2005.

Pierre Assassination
In the afternoon of November 21, 2006, one day before Lebanon Independence Day, gunmen opened fire on Pierre Gemayel after ramming his car in Jdeidet El Matn suburb of Beirut. Pierre Gemayel was rushed to a hospital in al dawra, where he was declared dead along with his bodyguard.
