On the Brink of a Civil War - Lebanon 2008 - Day 1 and 2

Gunfire broke out in accross Lebanon Thursday 8th of May 2008 right after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said that the recent actions of the lebanese government is a declaration of open war.

WHAT HAPPENED ON DAY 1 & 2

• More than Seven people were killed on the first day of the 2008 civil war in Lebanon. due to fierce clashes which took place between government supporters and members of Hezboullah opposition.
  
• The White House urged Hezboullah to stop the spreading of tension in Lebanon.
  
• Battle fights and explosions in Kornish El Mazerah in Beirut
  
• Street battle in beirut involves small arms, RPGs
  
• Halting use of communications system is a provocation, Nasrallah said
