Rami El Shomali

Rami El Shomali also known as Rami Chemaly was one of the Lebanese candidates of Star Academy season 7.

Rami Chemaly was a handsome young man with great vocals, and a true star of the Show. He was famous for singing many songs including Ya Houbi Elli Ghab a classical song by Melhem Barakat. To listen to Rami songs during the Academy, please refer to Fanoos Music.

His father died when he was still a teenager, Rami has two younger brothers Naji born in 1990 and Chadi born in 1997 are also into music and arts.

While at the Academy, Rami was one of the best students. He stayed in the Academy until the prime before the finals.

Nancy Ajram was a big fan of Rami Shemali; she called up for support and asked everyone to vote for him as she believed in his talent.

On friday the 28th of May 2010, Rami and Badriya Al Sayed from Tunis left the academy at the end of the Fifteenth Prime of Star Academy 7.

On thusday the 8th of July 2010, Rami Chemali passed away in a car accident while traveling on a business trip in Egypt.

His death came as a shocking news in the arab countries, it was very sad to know that he passed away at such a young age.

Rami will sure live in our hearts; his smile will always be in our minds.
