Abida Parveen also known as Abida Parvin, is a famous female sufi and gazal singer from Pakistan.

Abida was born in the year 1954 in Pakistan, She is a well know established singer and one of the foremost exponents of Sufi music.

Abida Parveen sings in many languages including Urdu, Sindhi, Punjabi and Persian.

She sings mostly ghazals, Urdu love songs. She also sings a style of singing called Kafis, which is solo singing accompanied by percussion and harmonium.

Abida and Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan are considered as leaders in Sufi songs of our times.

Around the year 2004, she took a Bayaah to dedicate herself to the spiritual hands of Sahibzada Muhammad Najeeb Sultan.

In the end of 2009, Abida launched an album dedicated to her spiritual master and labeled the album in his name.
