Talat Mahmood also known as Telat Mehmood was a famous Indian playback singer and movie actor.

Talat Mahmood was born on the 24th of February 1924 in Lucknow, India. His father was Manzoor Mahmood.

Talat Mahmood died on the 9th of May 1998.

Talat Mahmood was awarded the Padma Bhushan for his ghazal songs.

In 1945, took role of Kananbala in the Indian movie Rajlaxmi.

In the year 1958, Talal Mahmood played the role of Nutan in the hindi movie Sone ki Chidiya.
