Largest Flag in the World
Lebanon was recently broken yet another Guinness World Record, the Largest Flag in the World and the Largest Lebanese National Flag to date.
To celebrate the 65fth year anniversary of the Lebanese National Army, spokesperson of the project Ashraf Makarem (Fiesta) explained on October the 10th 2010 that this "achievement" was done in Kuwait with the help of Lebanese Ambassador Dr Bassam Noumani and the financial support of businessman Wadih el Absi. The flag is said to be 65650m2 (325m by 202m). The celebration was held at Riyaq military airport in the presence of officials from the National Defense Forces, as well as the media.
This came after a few other funny "achievements" like The Largest Tabbouleh and Hommos platters in the World... No Comment :)
