Cheb Bilal is a popular algerian rai singer. His real name is Bilal Mouffok and he was born 23rd of July 1966 in Cherchel, Algeria.

Cheb Bilal spent most of Childhood in Oran in Algeria where he learned music at the conservatory of Algria.

Bilal was raised by his grandfather. He started his music career by singing at weddings and festivals around his hometown.

In the year 1980 Cheb Bilal founded the group El Ahouar.

In the year 1989 Cheb Bilal traveled and lived in Marseilles, France, which is considered as a mojor point change in his fame.
