Saar Submarine Explosive Email Photos are Fake

While no official photos have been published by the Israelis or Hezbollah of the targeted Israeli submarine which was hit by Hezbollah around the end of July 2006.

An email circulated yesterday showing three different photos of the submarine at the time of target, few minutes after, and as it was split in half and sinked into the Mediterranean sea.

Urgent Update 10 August 2006 (source of images located)
The images of the claimed submarine, are confirmed to be 100% FAKE, because they are in reality the photos of a Mark 48 Torpedo testing program. you can check the link below to confirm where the photos were taken from.

Previous Update

The photos looked so professional to make me question their reality. Last week Reuters removed photographs taken by her freelance photographer, Adnan Hajj from its image database. This move was made by Reuters after a blogger questioned some photos taken by Mr. Hajj, the blogger spotted a certain repeated pattern in the smoke which were clearly evidence of using Photoshop on the photo. The blogger claimed that Adnan used Photoshop extensively to add more drama into the smoke of the picture. Several other photos were spotted for possible evidence of using Photoshop to modify the original photo.

While I truely believe that the submarine was hit, however I believe that the pictures have been photoshoped in a way or another. I had a close look at the submarine photos and look what I found. The similar pattern and the sharp image of the submarine on the water makes me think its a layered image, with few added shadows to make it look a bit real.

I leave it up to you to believe or not to believe the reality of the photo, especially when we live in a day when Photoshop not only can do miracles, but rather can do the impossible.
