Rogers iPhone Dropped calls and Missed calls 3G Network Problem

Starting November of 2008, the Rogers Wireless 3G network has been facing serious technical problems. Almost 85% of calls are dropped on the network.

Unfortunatly when customers contact support they are asked to update the iPhone software with the latest firmware. Even after trying that and talking to customer support for almost 60 mins, they ask to turn off the 3G and keep running on Edge network (E). Believe it or not even this seems to fail. Rogers did not admit to the technical problems, and assumes that all canadians will not notice.

How can canadians not notice the problem when 80-90% of calls are being dropped, all you get is a message saying that you missed a call. and to add a cherry on top, Rogers has the guts to say that if you decide to suspend your 6GB data plan you will not get it again.

Such technical problems are indirectly affecting Apple as a coorporation and the name of Apple maker of the iPhone, because people assume that their iPhone is defected or malfunctioning.

Ironically, Rogers wireless proudly states on its communication art peice, we are Quoting their exact words "Rogers is Operating Canada's fastest data and most reliable voice network with the clearest reception and fewest dropped calls...." I particularly like the last few words... Fewest dropped calls... lets think again, I think it should be replaced with Rogers Highest dropped calls and missed calls rate across Canada.
