National Broadcasting Network - NBN

The National Broadcasting Network s.a.l. NBN, is a Lebanese private company by shares, founded in 1996. On July 1st, 1999 the decision was implemented to reorient the station to become the first News and Thematic Station in Lebanon.

Four Years later, NBN is still faithful to its mission renowned as the (Entertainment for the Mind) station, NBN offers the latest news together with a variety of live debates on political, social, cultural, business and sports, documentaries and thematic programs on such topics as environment, health, tourism.

In September 2000, NBN went on satellite via Arab Sat 3A to cover the Arab world, Africa and Europe. Since 2004, NBN is available in the USA through Reach Media Inc. It's worth mentioning that NBN is broadcasting the same channel on both terrestrial and satellite.

Being a thematic station, NBN is able to tailor make programs to suit any particular objective. Accordingly, NBN has been the exclusive partner of the ESCWA, WHO, UNICEF, FAO, Union of Arab Banks, European Union.

NBN's highly qualified Graphics And Promotion Department service its client in-house. In 2002, NBN completed the successful documentary production of Ahzab Loubnan: 35 episodes covering the historical evolution of 17 political parties in Lebanon. In May 2004, NBN completed Tawaef Loubnan of 27 episodes covering Lebanon's 17 recognized religious sects.

Throughout the years, NBN has raised popularity as a serious, credible and informative station, ensuring a targeted audience ranging from 25 to 50 years of age and above. Every morning, the (Sabahiya) program from 7:00 a.m till 1:00 p.m., is capturing a high female audience by offering live segments on Beauty, Fashion, Nutrition, Cooking, Health, and Horoscope readings. Fortune telling predictions segments are reaching more than 25,000 calls per month from Lebanon and overseas.

According to the audience survey, the profile of NBN viewers reaches the highest percentage among the A&B socio-economic classes, decision makers and trendsetters.
