The Toronto Gay Pride 2010 was held, like every year, along Yonge and Church Street, close to intersection with Wellesley Street not far from our office in Canada. With more than 1.2 million viewers drawn in, the parade is said to be the largest in the world. Toronto has been actually selected to host WorldPride 2014!

Poland hosted this year in Warsaw its very first EuroPride Gay Pride festival, which was attended by thousands. Poland is an ex-communist state known for its intolerance towards Homosexuality.

Around the same time, many other cities around the world celebrate the event including, San Francisco, Paris and Amsterdam (to name a few).

The gay parade in Toronto, which first began in the 70s, is actually just a stop in a week long manifestation. For a full week in late June and into early July, the neighborhood also known as the Gay Village, hosts hundreds of artists, retailers, community organizations, and food vendors. There are also many live concerts. Awards and prizes are also granted to the best participants.
