Matt Giraud was chosen to go to Hollywood then was selected among the top 36 contestants and later was selected among the top 13 best.
Matt Giraud used to perform at Monaco Bay Piano Bar and Grill in Kalamazoo every Friday night.
When he was in high school, Matt used to perform in the choir and was a cadet teacher for the seventh grade performance choir, according to the high school.
After finishing his high school, Giraud went to Western Michigan University, where he performed with the Gold Company vocal jazz program.
Matt sang Ray Charles song entitled Georgia On my Mind.
