Pranav Mistry is the inventor of SixthSense Technology and PhD student in the Fluid Interfaces Group at the MIT Media Lab.

Pranav Mistry was born on the 17th of December 1982 in India.

Pranav's SixthSense technology is a wearable camera and projector device that enables 3D interactions between our real world and digital world.

Pranav Mistry graduated from IIT in India, he received his Master in Media Arts and Sciences from MIT.

Mistry also holds a Master degree in Design from IIT Bombay. He worked with Microsoft as a UX researcher before moving to the United States to complete his studies at MIT.

Mistry is passionate about integrating the digital informational experience with our real-world interactions.

While working at MIT, Pranav Mistry worked on many projects such as the intelligent sticky notes and a a pen that draws in 3Dimesions.

Mistry also invented the Quickies, which can be searched with the ability to send reminders.

Pranav Mistry also invented a tangible public map that can act as Google in our physical world.

Pranav Mistry researched many topics including Gestural and Tangible Interaction, Artificial intelligence, Machine Vision and Robotics. In addition he has some research work done in the fields of Ubiquitous Computing and Collective Intelligence.
